1) Wrapping of Joints
Wrapping of joints with insulating tape is
an acceptable alternative to booting the
bus conductor joints. For some complex or
unusual joints, the formed bus boots may
not be available. Bus conductor joints to
be tape wrapped must use the following
procedure to maintain proper insulation
characteristics within the switchgear
.
