Place the choke lever (5) in the run position (r).
Place the bush cutter on the ground.
Pull the starter rope (4) briskly, continue pulling
until the engine has started. Do not let the starter
rope hit the engine since this can cause damage to
the engine.
Squeeze the throttle control (16) to warm up the
engine, place the choke lever in the RUN position (r).
Note: If the engine floods while trying to start,
place the choke lever in the RUN position and
pull the starter rope briskly.
Operating:
Check installation for correct attachment (blade or
nylon line) before carrying out the work at hand.
Start the bush cutter.
Use the carrying belt (11) and adjust it for the best
carrying position. Always use the U-handle (10)
during use.
Press the throttle trigger until the cutting
attachment rotates. If the throttle is released, the
cutting attachment stops rotating and the engine
will idle.
You can lock the throttle trigger so the cutting
attachment operates at a fixed speed by pressing
the lock switch (13). The lock is deactivated by
pressing the throttle.
Guide the bush cutter from side to side in an even
motion to trim the vegetation to the desired
length.
Tilt the bush cutter backwards while operating to
throw objects in the grass away from you in stead
of towards you.
Be cautious when working close to walls and other
obstacles. Objects in the grass can ricochet against
the wall and back towards you.
Cut from the side and never from the front.
Avoid cutting close to wired fences, etc. since they
could cut the nylon line.
Nylon line feed:
If the cutting attachment is pushed towards the
ground while rotating, more nylon line will be
advanced. Additional nylon line is cut off on the
edge of the plastic guard.
Stopping the engine:
Release your hand from the throttle and allow the
engine to cool down by idling.
Press down the ignition switch to the OFF/STOP
position (o) and the engine stops.
The engine must be stopped before transporting
the bush cutter between working areas.
Storage
Empty the fuel tank and start up the engine to use
up all fuel that is left in the engine.
Remove the spark plug when the engine has run
dry and has cooled down. Insert a small amount
of motor oil into the spark plug hole and insert
the spark plug again.
Clean the bush cutter, and store it in a clean, dry
and dust-free storage place.
