1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was
designed for a specific function. Do not modify or
alter this tool or use it for an unintended purpose.
2. Operate in a safe work environment.
3. Control the tool, personal movement and the work
environment to avoid personal injury or damage to
tool.
4. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
5. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide
front and side protection for the eyes. Eye protection
equipment should comply with CSA Z94.3-07 or ANSI
Z87.1 standards based on the type of work
performed.
6. Avoid wearing clothes or jewelry that can become
entangled with the moving parts of a tool. Keep long
hair covered or bound.
7. Do not overreach when operating a tool. Proper
footing and balance enables better control in
unexpected situations.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing.
Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do
so could result in a malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging
and inspect for damage.
Make sure that all items in the contents are included.

ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT! Mount the unit to a solid surface using
appropriate hardware (hardware not included). The
entire unit could weigh as much as 35 pounds with a
water-filled hose and could cause injury if not mounted
correctly.
WALL MOUNT
1. Use large, long steel hardware to mount to a wall
permanently (not included).
2. For a temporary mount that will allow removal for
winter storage, use large steel hooks in the top
mounting holes and two bumpers (feet) in the
bottom mounting holes.
GROUND MOUNT
Push the four stakes provided through the holes in the
base to secure the unit to the lawn or earth.
FREE-STANDING (FLOOR)
1. Insert the four bumpers (feet) into the mounting
holes on the base of the unit.
2. If necessary, lubricate the bumpers to ease
insertion.
ATTACH THE HANDLE
1.
Remove the flange nut holding the black handle to
the steel crank.
2. Reverse the handle and re-attach using same
flange nut.
3.
Tighten securely. If desired, the two nuts may be
adjusted to allow the handle to rotate freely.
ATTACH THE HOSE
1.
Attach the leader hose to the end of the swivel. Do
not overtighten.
2. Attach the other end of the hose to the water
supply.
3. Attach the garden hose to the brass adapter and
loop over the spool end to avoid kinking.
OPERATION
1.
Wind the garden hose carefully around hose reel to
avoid kinks in the hose.
2. Use the handle to wind the hose reel.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good
condition is efficient, easier to control and will
have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or
replace damaged or worn components. Only use
identical replacement parts when servicing.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should
repair the tool. An improperly repaired tool may present
a hazard to the user and/or others.
