PURGE THE PUMP
Figure 8 shows the pump assembly removed from the jack for clarity. Perform
the tasks with the jack’s pump assembly in place.
1. Twist the handle to the left to open the release
valve. Lower the lifting arm (#13) until it is
seated in the body frame (#8).
2. Twist the handle to the right to close the release
valve. Raise the handle to the elevated resting
position.
3. Loosen the inner hex screw on the piston (Fig. 8).
a. Hold the valve in place with circlip pliers.
b. Use a hex wrench to loosen the inner hex screw, then remove the hex
wrench. Do not remove the screw.
c. Pump the handle slowly until hydraulic oil flows out of the center
screw hole.
d. Hold the valve with the circlips and tighten the inner hex screw with
the hex wrench.
4. Pump the handle. Repeat
Purge The Pump
steps until the jack reaches full
height within 10 full handle strokes. Do not use the ram if it still not work
properly. Have a qualified service technician service or repair the hydraulic
system.
LUBRICATION
Inspect and lubricate the jack every month.
1. Inspect and lubricate the tool at the points in Fig. 9 to 10 when required.
