Before Each Use

WARNING
To avoid a risk of an explosion or fire from a fuel spill, only add fuel to the tank when the engine is
stopped and has cooled down. In the event of a fuel spill, DO NOT attempt to start the engine until the
fuel residue has been completely cleaned up, and the area surrounding the engine is dry.
Before Starting the Plate Compactor
Read and understand the s
afety and operating instructions of the engine’s Owner’s Manual.
Check:
Oil level in engine
Fuel level
Condition of air cleaner
Tightness of external fasteners
Condition of fuel lines
Inspect the
plate compactor:
Check all the bolts, nuts, and belts. Tighten any if necessary.
Check the general condition of the plate compactor and its components. Clean any
foreign material (dirt, fragments, etc.) from the unit that may have been thrown off,
causing injury.
