Expected effects of adjustments.
Turning adjustment screw P58 clockwise causes increasing the power turbine speed
N 2
at
low actuation level of limiter (engine operation condition at manual control mode).
NOTE:
If after the tests accomplished acc. to para 4.C.(7) it is necessary to adjust
the power turbine N2 speed limiter follow below instructions:
-
one quarter turn clockwise of P58 adjustment screw increases the
speed Nr by approx. 0,8% (for given compressor speed N1);
-
if at manual control mode in twin engine operation the differences
between the engines parameters are - beyond limits, use the P58
adjusting screw.
Turn clockwise the P58 adjusting screw on the engine which lags or
turn
antclockwise
the
P58
adjusting
screw
on
the
engine
which
advances. Turning P58 crew clockwise by approx. 1/4 of one revolution
causes the N1 compressor speed N1 to increase by 2,5% and the TQ
torque to increase by 13% (for given Nr speed).
-
if adjustment with P58 screw is not possible you can use P15 nut [see
para 5.H.(1), (2), (3)]. Turning P15 nut clockwise by approx. 1/4 of one
revolution increases the N1 compressor speed by approx. 1% and
increases the TQ torque by 5% (for given Nr speed).
It is recommended to perform adjustment gradually in approx. 1/8 ÷ 1/4 of revolution
until results are satisfactory.
