GENERAL REQUIREMENTS - SERVICING
1.
Check of the oil level in the tank and the oil refill.
A.
Fulfill the work as follows:
(1)
Check the oil level in the tank on the oil level indicator scale.
NOTE: Tank oil level check shall not be made before 5 minutes delay after engine shutdown.
(2)
Refill the oil to the tank, if necessary, to the level of 8 dm

(8 I; 2.1 US gal.) through the tank filler.
Open the filler neck unsecuring and unscrewing the handwheel first.
CAUTION: 1. REFILLING SHALL BE MADE IN CONDITIONS PROTECTING THE OIL AND OIL
SYSTEM AGAINST CONTAMINATION. POUR THE OIL THROUGH A FILTER WITH
A SCREEN MESH NO LESS THEN 0,063 mm x 0,063 mm (0.0025
in X
0.0025
in).
2. MINIMUM OIL LEVEL IN THE TANK, WHICH ALLOWS THE ENGINE TO BE
OPERATED, IS 5 dm

Install filler cap, tighten the handwheel and safety wiring.

Oil draining from the oil system.
NOTE: At ambient temperature below 238 K (-35°C; -31°F), if the prolonged
helicopter parking is expected, then the oil should be drained from the
engine oil system immediate after an engine stop (see Helicopter
Maintenance Manual).
A.
Oil drain from the engine oil system.
Perform draining of the oil from the engine oil system in accordance to the
Helicopter Maintenance Manual.
B.
Oil drain from the accessory gearbox ( see 79-02-00, Dwg. 4).
(1)
Remove the safety wire from the magnetic plug (3). The safety wire of
the plug body (4) shall not be damaged.
(2)
Screw out the magnetic plug (3), holding with a wrench the plug body (4).
