(c) Switching-off the electric motor starter
Switching-off of the starter is self-acting. If the starter is not switched-off till the
compressor turbine speed N1 = 48%, it shall be switched-off manually
by pressing down the ABORT push button.
(d) Switching on the AIR BLEED warning light;
(e) Compressor turbine outlet temperature, that shall not exceed specified limit of
953 K (680ºC, 1256ºF);
(f)
Engine oil pressure, which shall appear at compressor turbine speed of
approximately 13% but at termination of the engine start, it shall be minimum
196 kPa (2 kG/cm
2
; 28,4 psi)
F. Breaking the engine start
(1) Breaking the engine start is performed by pressing the ABORT push button with
concurrent resetting the CL to the ENGINE SHUTDOWN position, when any troubles
occur during the engine start as follows:
(a) No indications of control-measuring instruments of power plant;
(b) Compressor turbine outlet temperature rises above specified limit;
(c) No rise in compressor turbine outlet temperature during the 10-15 second period
after pressing the START push button;
(d) No engine oil pressure;
(e) Premature starter switching-off at N1 < 45% and no increase of the compressor
turbine speed N1
(f)
No increase of the compressor turbine speed in the range N1 = 20% ÷ 40%,
intensive increase of the gas temperature above 673 K (400ºC, 752ºF),
(“hot suspension”);
(g) No increase of the compressor turbine speed in the range N1 = 30% ÷ 50%
at gas temperature below 673 K (400ºC, 752ºF), (“cold suspension”)
