Compressor preparation

The max. permissible operating pressure that the compressor generates is automatically limited by the pres-
sure switch. The safety valve also prevents a pressure increase above 10% of the max. permissible pres-
sure.
WARNING
Risk of explosion if the maximum operating pressure is exceeded.
Never tamper with the safety valve.
When the pressure has built up, the compressor switches off when the max. pressure is reached (see Tech-
nical specifications from page 8) and then vents automatically, the compressor is ready for use.
Drain the condensate as described from page 22 onwards.
ATTENTION!
Condensate is a water pollutant - risk of environmental pollution.
Absorb spilled condensate with a binding agent.
Wipe up absorbed condensate with a cloth.
Dispose of the cloth in accordance with the statutory regulations in force at the site of use.
Compressor operation
To operate the compressor, proceed as follows:
Prepare the compressor as described from page 12 onwards.
Check the condition of the cylinder before each connection.
Read and comply with the operating instructions for the compressed-air cylinder.
Filling operation
Slide the compressed-air cylinders over the bracket into the thread of the filling valve (4).
Screw the cylinder hand-tight into the thread of the filling valve (4).
Switch on the compressor at the ON/OFF switch (1) to start the compressor.
The compressed-air cylinders are now filled. The filling pressure can be read off at the pressure gauge
(3). After the final pressure is reached, the compressor switches off automatically and vents the unit.
The compressor can also be vented manually. To do so, proceed as described on page 17
“Vent-
ing unit manually” or “Venting filling strip manually”.
Wait until the compressor has automatically vented the unit completely.
The pressure gauge for filling pressure now indicates the filling pressure of the cylinder.
Ending filling operation
Switch off the compressor after the filling operation at the ON/OFF switch (1).
Screw the compressed-air cylinders out of the thread of the filling valve.
Pull the compressed-air cylinders towards the rear out of the compressor bracket.
The compressed-air cylinders are now filled and ready for use.
WARNING
There is a risk of explosion when operating a damaged cylinder.
Check the condition of the cylinder before each connection.
Connect the cylinder only if it is in good condition.
