Cleaning the housing and external surfaces
ATTENTION!
Unsuitable cleaning agents can cause damage to the compressor or accessories.
Clean only with a dry or slightly damp cloth, or a cloth dampened with a mild soap solution.
Slight contamination
Wipe the compressor housing with a dry cloth.
Apply a thin coating of PREBENA special oil to all metal parts of the compressor.
Heavy contamination
Wipe the compressor housing with a cloth dampened slightly with a mild soap solution.
Then wipe the housing with a cloth dampened slightly with tap water.
Rub down with a soft, dry cloth afterwards.
Apply a thin coating of PREBENA special oil to all metal parts of the compressor.
Cleaning the air filter
Effective cleaning of the drawn-in ambient air is one of the most important requirements for ensuring a long
compressor service life.
ATTENTION!
Compressor is at risk of damage from foreign bodies in the intake opening.
Do not operate the compressor without the air filter.
Do not blow out the intake opening with a blow-out gun. This could allow foreign bodies to get into the
intake opening.
To clean the air filter, proceed as follows:
Release the knurled nut (1) by turning counterclockwise.
The cap (2) is now unlocked.
Pull the cap (2) off the air filter housing (5).
Take out the filter element (3) and clean it with a blow-out gun. As required, replace the filter element.
Check the O-ring (4) for damage. As required, replace the O-ring.
Insert the air filter element (3).
Fit the cap (2) on the air filter housing (5).
Lock the cap by firmly turning the knurled nut (1) clockwise.
