Safety
Observe and follow all the warnings and instructions in these operating instructions and those on the com-
pressor when using the compressor. The included Declaration of Conformity is an element of these operat-
ing instructions.
Intended use
The high-pressure compressor serves to fill the PREBENA compressed-air cylinders KT-3500, KT-1000 (by
means of adapter), KT-300, KT-470, KT-690 and KT-900 (by means of filling hose) with compressed air. In
its function as a “normal” compressor compressed-air devices can be operated up to 10 bar. The filled KT-
3500 cylinders serve as compressed-air storage reservoirs and provide for a corresponding volume.
ATTENTION!
Compressor operation is not possible using the filling hose or the adapters.
Intended use also includes compliance with the accident prevention regulations and the statutory regulations
and standards in force at the site of use. Any other use is not considered intended use and can result in
damage to property or even personal injury.
Improper use
Improper use refers, in particular, to operation
by persons without any knowledge of how to use the compressors
with the safety equipment bypassed
of compressors modified without the authorisation of the manufacturer
in medical applications
for artificial respiration.
PREBENA Wilfried Bornemann GmbH & Co. KG accepts no liability for any damage resulting from improper
use.
Avoiding the risk of injury
Store the compressor out of the reach of children and other unauthorised persons.
Always disconnect the compressor from the voltage supply before transporting.
Position the compressor so that it cannot roll away or tip over during operation.
Only use the compressor when it is firmly secured and stable.
Do not start the compressor if the connecting cable is defective or the power supply point is unsafe.
Never work in unventilated rooms.
Do not touch the cylinder heads, the cooling fins and the pressure lines as these parts become hot during
operation and maintain the high temperatures for a certain period of time even after shutdown.
Wear ear defenders if you are working for an extended period of time in the immediate proximity of the
compressor.
