TRM600/700/800 Common Frame Overview
About
Precor has implemented a new common frame weldment that is used on the TRM600,
TRM700, and TRM800 Experience™ Series treadmills. The common frame was released
on production units beginning 05/14/2019. It is the intent of this document to provide inform-
ation about how the new common frame update has affected related service and main-
tenance tasks.
The TRM600 was initially released with a common frame so there are no new common
frame updates to report for this product line. However, this is a major frame update for the
TRM700 and TRM800 series treadmills. Because the TRM700/800 product lines share the
same base system components, any common frame updates will apply equally to both
product lines. The following is a summary of the TRM700/800 common frame updates:
l
Running belt and deck updates:
o
New common frame drive roller
o
New common frame take-up roller and running belt adjustment mechanism
o
Different size running deck
l
New landing trim and end cap covers
l
New drive belt tension adjustment mechanism
l
Redesigned front compartment dust guard (easier drive belt removal)
Ordering Parts
When ordering parts for the TRM700 and TRM800 series treadmills, you will need to
provide the equipment frame type (legacy frame or common frame) to the Precor customer
service representative.
Ways to identify the common frame
l
Use the equipment manufacture date:
o
Treadmills built prior to 5/14/2019 use a legacy frame.
o
Treadmills built on or after 5/14/2019 use the new common frame.
l
Visual ques to identify the common frame:
o
Check for a drive belt adjustment bolt (yes - common frame, no - ¬legacy
frame).
o
Check the shape of the end cap cover running belt adjustment bolt access hole
(oval - common frame, round - legacy frame).
