2. Switch the power

and
unplug

the power cord.
3. Remove the front hood.
4. If this is a previously tensioned running belt:
Remove the running belt tension. Slowly relax the running belt tension using a 1/4"
hex key socket and ratchet (only use hand tools and not power tools). Alternately
loosen the left and right adjustment bolts in 1/4 turn increments so that the running
belt tension is evenly relaxed. Continue loosening the tension adjustment bolts until
all tension is removed. Do not remove the adjustment bolts.
Note
: It is not necessary to remove the adjustment bolts. Loosen bolts until all ten-
sion is removed and stop.
CAUTION
: Only use hand tools to adjust tension. Power tools can easily over
and/or under tension causing damage to the belt and/or tension hardware mech-
anism.
