Speed Sensor Replacement
This procedure provides instruction to remove and replace the Speed Sensor.
Procedure
Review entire procedure before starting.
Removal
1. Switch the power "OFF" and unplut the power cord.
2. Remove the hood cover.
3. Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the
LPCA

J3 connector.
4. Remove the chopper wheel from the motor shaft with a ¼” socket.
5. Remove the #2 Phillip screws that fastens the speed sensor the treadmill drive motor.
Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for installation.
6. Disconnect the cable and replace the sensor.
7. Mount the replacement speed sensor on the motor.

Lower Printed Circuit Assembly board; also refered to as the Lower PCA or simply as the
lower board. On treadmills, it is the console to base function interface and the motor con-
troller unit (MCU). On self-powered units, it is the lower PCA console to base function inter-
face.
