Running Belt and Deck Replacement Procedure

This procedure provides instruction to remove and replace the Running Belt and Deck.
Belt and Deck
The running belt is a lubricated type belt and is used with a non-waxed deck. The deck is
reversible and not waxed.
CAUTION
: Do not apply any lubricants or wax to the deck and belt. Do not use
Wax Blast, silicon sprays, or other applied lubricants. The use of these lubricants
will quickly degrade the low-friction surface of the deck.
Procedure
Review entire procedure before starting.
Removal
1. Switch the power
OFF
and
unplug

the power cord.
2. Remove the hood cover. Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for installation.
3. Remove the endcaps and belt guard covers from the rear of treadmill. Retain part(s)
and/or fastener(s) for installation.
4. Remove the left and right landing trim covers. Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for
installation.
5. Remove the left and right roller bridges. Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for install-
ation.
6. Remove the Take-up Roller, see
"Take-up Roller Replacement" on page 74
7. Remove the Drive Roller, see
"Drive Roller Replacement" on page 71
8. Carefully lift the deck and belt out of the treadmill frame.
9. Remove the running belt from the deck and discard.
A new deck surface must be used with each new belt replacement.

If both sides of the deck are used, discard the deck, and replace with a new
deck.

If the bottom side of the deck has not been used (new), flip and use new side of
the deck.
Installation

Disconnect a device power cord plug or cable connector from the power receptacle or out-
let.
