Subwoofer Placement

Thegoal of propersubwooferplacementis to setup your systemso that
your subwoofer acts as a natural extension of your full-range monitors
withoutboostingtheoverallbass responseofyourroomor exaggerating
anyonefrequencyorfrequencyrange.Becauselowfrequenciesarenot
directional—thatis,humanscannotperceivethedirectionfromwhichlow
frequenciesarecoming—youaren’tlimitedtoplacingitnearyourfull-range
monitors.However,placing yourT8inthe sameside ofthe roomasyour
full-range monitors will typically provide the best listening experience.

A quick way to find the best location for your subwoofer is to temporarily
placeitonthegroundwhereyouwouldnormallybelisteningtoyoursystem,

roomwhereyouhaveplacedyourfull-rangemonitorsuntilyoufindthespot
