Using BIOS Setup
System Configuration Utility (SCU) is a program for configuring the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) settings of the
computer.
BIOS is a layer of software, called firmware, that translates instructions from other layers of software into instructions that
the computer hardware can understand. The BIOS settings are needed by your computer to identify the types of installed
devices and establish special features.
When and How to Use BIOS Setup
When to Use
You need to run SCU when:
* You see an error message on the screen requesting you to run SCU.
* You want to restore the factory default settings.
