12. Safety precautions
Please observe all safety precautions before using your DVR. Please follow all
procedures outlined in this user manual to correctly operate the device.
• Do not attempt to open the shell or attempt to repair, if the device or any
parts are defective, please go to the professional maintenance point for
repairing.
• To avoid risk of electrical shock, do not connect or disconnect the device with wet hands.
• Do not place the device near a heat source or directly expose it to flame or heat.
• Never place the device in vicinity of equipments generating strong electromagnetic fields.
Exposure to strong magnetic fields may cause malfunctions or data corruption and loss.
• Please use the device under natural temperature, do not work under the temperature which
human body cannot adapt to.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or cleaning agents to clean the device.Please use a
slightly damp soft cloth to clean the device.
• Please use it under sufficient light, please do not make the lens directly face to the sun or other
super-light so as to avoid damage to the optical components.
• Do not use it in dusty environment in order to avoid the lens and other components to be dusty
and affect the camera effects
Notices for waterproof casing

Do not disassemble and refix the sealing ring of casing, keys and lens cover by yourself.
Otherwise, the sealing of water-proof casing may be affected.

Do not place the casing in those environments where exist corrosive gas such as strong acid or
alkali; and keep it awry from chemicals and other corrosives.

Do not put water-proof casing in high (above 50°C) or low (-10°C) temperatures to avoid
casing deformation.

Do no expose the casing under direct sunshine for a long time to avoid deteriorating its
waterproofing performance.

Before using the casing, it's advised to check whether the seal rings are under good condition,
whether there are foreign objects at the sealing joints, whether the casing is well sealed and
tightly buckled.

After using the casing in sea water, please clean and flush it by fresh water firstly, and then
use a dry cloth to wipe the surface and put the device in a cool and ventilated place.
Cautions in using 3M double-sided foam sticker

Please choose a suitable curved surface or flat surface to make sure the 3M double-sided
foam sticker is fixed on such surface.

Please make sure the surface is clean and smooth before affixing 3M double-sided foam
sticker on the surface.

If necessary, such as under low temperature (under 20°C), it is suggested to let the surface of
3M doble-sided foam sticker heat up (with hair drier or something else) before sticking.
