IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:

1.  Please read these instructions carefully before using the Chocolate Fondue Fountain.
2.  Do not operate the motor with out the melted chocolate in the base of the tower. The

chocolate acts like a lubricant to the auger and tower. If the motor is switched on without
the chocolate in the base this could damage the unit.

3.  Check that the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before

operating.

4.  Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the cable cord.
5.  To protect against risk of electrical shock DO NOT immerse cord, plug or any part of the

motor base in water or other liquids.

6.  DO NOT place motor base in dishwasher.
7.  NEVER place anything other than the intended ingredients in the base bowl.
8.  Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children or infirm

persons.

cleaning.

10. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has

been damaged in any manner. If the supply cord or appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order
to avoid a hazard.

11. The use of attachments that are not recommended or sold by manufacturer may cause,

fire electric shock or injury.

12. Do not use outdoors.
13. Never place the appliance on or near a hot surface.
14. To reduce the risk resulting of becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord a short

19. DO NOT HANDLE THE AUGER WHEN IN MOTION.
20. DO NOT assemble the auger or tower while the motor is running.  Turn the unit OFF first

and unplug from the outlet while assembling pieces.

21. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before removing parts for cleaning.
22. NEVER use an abrasive sponge or cloth on unit.
23. The marked electrical rating of an extension cord should be at least as great as the

electrical rating of the appliance. Electrical extension cords can be used if care is
exercised in their use

24. Keep hands and foreign objects out of the fountain while operating.  Check regularly for

large chunks of fruit, etc. falling into the base bowl.  These will clog the base of the
tower.  Chocolate will not flow properly.

25. UNIT MUST BE LEVEL TO OPERATE PROPERLY.
