Selecting the option “Show Title and Subtitle” you can make it appear, in the upper right corner, spaces in which, for
example, you can add the names and characteristics of the radio-map.
The raw data are displayed in “RAW DATA”. Below this area, there are various RUviz options:
-
Automated offset
: each radio-map is composed of several transits that are taken at different times, and at diffe-
rent heights from the horizon. For this reason, between a transit and the other, the radiometric signal changes
only for the variation of atmospheric and ground noise. This function automatically calculates how these values
change between one and the other transit and corrects this variation.
-
Regression Offset
: within a single transit, the variation of the working temperature of the receiving device (eg the
one of LNB) can lead to a progressive increase or decrease of the values. This option automatically normalizes
these drifts.
-
Resample RA
: set the image Right Ascension resolution to the same values of Declination (it depends on how you
set the data captured in RadioUniverse).
-
Show DEC Grid
: shows the lines in Declination corresponding to the tracks of different transit.
-
Show Visual
: shows the star map.
-
Show 2D Graph
: shows graph with the values of one of the transits (to change the displayed transit, just click with
the right button of the mouse on the desired part of radio-map).
-
Show Beam Width
: shows the size of the antenna beam (relative to Spider230 with 11,2 GHz receiver).
