Laser Safety Precautions
This product uses laser.
Class 1 Laser product
This product, which is mounted on the device, conforms to the standards set out in the Department of
Health and Human Services (DHHS 21 CFR) Subchapter J. and also conforms to IEC 60825-1, and
CENELEC Standard (EN 60825-1) as internal standard for Class 1 Laser product.
CAUTION
This product uses a class 3A or 3B laser diode.
Recycling
When scrapping this product, contact an office listed in the "Contact Information". This product must
be disposed of as industrial waste.
• If this product is moved from cold areas to hot areas or if room temperature
suddenly rises, internal condensation may form.
If this product is used after condensation has formed, the condensation may
damage this product or the disks. After a large change in temperature, do not turn
on the power for 1 hour.
• Do not use this product if foreign objects such as metals have fallen into the
device.
If a foreign object has fallen in, contact an office listed in the "Contact
Information".
• Clean the front of the product by wiping with a soft cloth dampened with a mild
detergent or water. Do not use benzine, thinner or any volatile compounds.
• Do not look directly at laser beams.
This product is configured to block laser beams but in the event that due to a
failure laser beams are exposed, it may cause damage to eyesight.
• Do not shock or jolt this product.
Doing so may cause failures.
• Do not touch the lens of this product.
Doing so may cause failures.
• If this product is not used as described in the explanations and procedures in this
manual, there is danger of laser radiation. Also if this product is opened, there is
a danger of being exposed to dangerous lasers. Do not disassemble this product.
• If the cover of this product is opened a class 3A or 3B laser is emitted. Do not
look at laser beams or use optical equipment to look directly at laser beams. Do
not expose yourself directly to the laser beams.
