To
assemble the anti-tipping support fork
with quick-release axle
, press the locking
knob again and insert the anti-tipping support
fork from underneath onto the anti-tipping sup-
port fork axle. When doing this, pay special
attention to ensure that the locking knob
springs all of the way out after attaching the
fork again, otherwise the anti-tipping support
fork is not properly secured.
22.4 Replacing the anti-tipping support
wheel
The following instructions are intended
for and may only be carried out by a rehabilita-
tion specialist dealer or PRO ACTIV
The procedure to replace the anti-tipping sup-
port wheel is the same as replacing the caster
wheel. To do this, follow the instructions in
chapter 20.1.
22.5 Safety instructions
The anti-tipping support is designed ex-
clusively to minimise the risk of tipping over
backwards. It is not suitable for reducing the
risk of tipping forwards or to the side. There is
no safety equipment on offer for minimizing
these risks. For this reason, handling these
risks need to be learnt in cooperation with your
therapists and doctors.
The lower edge of the anti-tipping wheels
may not be more than 8 mm from the ground.
If a larger gap is required or necessary, then
you need to work with your therapists and doc-
tors and your trainer to practice and learn to
handle the increased risk of tipping.
If the functional capability of the anti-
tipping supports is no longer ensured or if you
are in any doubt about their flawless function,
have them checked by your rehabilitation spe-
cialist dealer and repaired before any further
use. Otherwise there is an increased risk or
falling of getting injured.
