Initial Operation

1. Carefully remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Remove the globe from the holder. Unscrew the top part. Slide the ON/OFF

switch to the ON position. Close the globe and set it back into the holder. Note:
Please don’t apply any force.

The light sensor will control the lamp automatically. At dusk, the lamp turns on
automatically and uses the stored energy.

Now the solar lamp is activated.

Malfunctions

If the solar lamp doesn’t switch on automatically at dusk after 6 hours of daytime
charging, please proceed as follows:

(1) Ensure that the switch is set to ON.
(2) Ensure that the solar lamp wasn’t set up in a shady spot. If it was, move it to a

sunny location.

(3) An external light source (e.g. street lamp) simulates daylight and prevents the

lamp from turning on. Place the lamp in a darker location.

(4) Check the battery and ensure that the battery contacts are tight.
(5) Weak or defective battery. Replacing the battery.

Replacing the battery

1. Remove the globe from the holder. Unscrew the top part. Remove the screws.
2. Remove and replace the battery.
3. Tighten the screws and close the globe again. Place the globe back in the holder.
