bilge pump switch is in the on position, the switch light should be illuminated. To check and see if the bilge pump
is operating, open the bilge hatch over the bilge pump and listen to hear the bilge pump running.
Second, turn the bilge pump off at the instrument panel and
check the bilge pump float switch. The bilge pump is
equipped with an automatic float switch (white box) that is
mounted in close proximity to the pump. As long as your boat
is equipped with an operable battery, the pump will operate
automatically when water is present in the area. The float
switch is equipped with two plastic knobs located on either
side of the switch. Turn either one of the knobs to raise the
float to engage the bilge pump. If the pump comes on, the
automatic float is operating properly. It is recommended that
you check the operation of each automatic float switch
monthly.
Float Switch
Bilge Pump
If for some reason the indicator light on your bilge pump switch comes on, check your bilge for water. It is not
uncommon for rain water or water from washing your boat to accumulate in the bilge. Standing water will activate
the automatic float that is connected to the bilge pump. If you notice your pump running frequently during your
day on the water, you should check the thru hull fittings, hose connections, etc. for any possible leaks.
Keep the bilge area clean and free from debris that could clog ports or inhibit float movement. Also, keep the
battery (starboard) that provides power to the bilge pump charged. If the battery is not charged and flooding
occurs, the boat could swamp causing damage and possible loss of life or property.
Fish Box with Macerator Pump
Your boat is equipped with a 98-gallon fish box in the center of the
forward cockpit area.
It is plumbed to a fish box macerator pump that is
mounted below the step up to the forward casting deck. For access to
this pump, remove the round access pie on the face of the step.
The fish box macerator pump operates on a 2-way rocker switch (labeled
fish box) that is located on the switch panel. To operate the fish box
macerator pump, fill the fish box with water. Then, depress the fish box
switch to the on position. The water and fish particles will be pumped out
of the tub and then overboard via the fish box thru hull on the side of the
boat. When you are finished emptying the fish box, place the fish box
switch in the aft position to turn off the fish box macerator pump.
Casting Platform (Optional)
An optional casting deck platform can be installed over the transom area of your bay boat. This platform provides
you with an open area for casting, free from obstructions. It allows you a better view of the waters in your
immediate vicinity while you are looking for that next big catch. This platform can accommodate 1 person or
weight up to 300 pounds
DO NOT use the casting platform while the boat is in motion or to tie off to a skier, another boat, a dock, etc.
Fuel/Oil Systems
Fuel Tank
The 80-gallon fuel tank (Inca Molded Products) on your Pro-Line is constructed of flame resistant cross-linked
high-density polyethylene. The fuel tank is located under the deck and is secured between the stringers and
bulkheads. Inspect all hose connections on a regular basis. You can access the fuel fill and fuel vent via the
deck plate that is installed next to the binnacle inside the cockpit.
