Control knobs
To operate the air conditioner unit:
Ensure that the seacock (seawater intake ball valve) is open. The seacock is open when the
seacock lever is in the horizontal position.
Turn the mode control knob to off.
Turn on the air conditioning unit circuit breaker.
Turn the mode control knob to fan. This energizes the fan.
Turn the thermostat control knob to the coolest position by rotating it fully clockwise.
Verify that the fan is running and that there is steady airflow out of the air conditioning vent.
Turn the mode control knob to run. This will start the compressor and seawater pump.
Check for a steady solid stream of seawater from the overboard discharge (thru hull).
To set the thermostat, allow sufficient time for the unit to cool the area to the desired temperature.
When the area is sufficiently cooled, turn the thermostat knob slowly toward the center position
until it clicks once. The thermostat is now set to maintain a constant temperature.
Caution: Do not turn the unit off and immediately turn it back on. Wait at least 2 minutes for the
system refrigerant pressures to balance.
