LOW VOLTAGE
1. Low voltage is a situation caused when a power tool
receives less voltage than it requires and compensates by
increasing the amperage to continue functioning. The
additional amperage causes excessive heat that damages
the tool’s motor. There are several warning signs:
1.1 The tool will not activate when switched on.
1.2 The tool may switch on, but fails to maintain power
when operated.
1.3 The tool’s performance decreases.
1.4 The tool and power cord are hot to the touch due to
overheating.
1.5 A circuit breaker trips or a panel fuse blows.
2. Confirm the power outlet’s voltage and amperage match
those on the tool’s name plate or in the manual’s
Specifications section.
3. Remove any other tools drawing power from the same
electrical circuit.
4. Test the tool by plugging it directly to the power supply
and run the tool with no load.
5. Have the tool serviced if the tool fails to function properly
or if the housing or power cord are unusually hot.
ATTACH THE GROUND CLAMP
1. Clean off dirt, oil, rust, scale, oxidation and paint from the
workpiece where the ground clamp will be attached.
2. Attach the ground clamp to the workpiece. Connect the
ground clamp directly to the workpiece and as close to the
cutting area as possible to prevent the current from
