WARNING! When not in use, do not allow heavy loads to remain on
the fork for an extended period of time. Always lower fork completely
when not in use.
STEERING THE PALLET JACK
Moving the pallet jack involves several steps.
1. Pull the tiller towards
yourself until controls are
within the driving zone
shown in figure 2-1.
2. Turn the accelerator control
(P) away from the operator
and the pallet jack will move
towards you (forward).
3. Turn the accelerator control
(P) towards the operator
and the pallet jack will move away from you (backward).
4. Turn the accelerator control further to increase the jack’s speed in the
chosen direction.
5. Turn the tiller left or right to maneuver.
6. Turn the accelerator control to the neutral position to slow to a stop.
a. Raising the tiller to the upright position or down as shown in Fig
2-2, will activate the brake.
b. The tiller will automatically rise to the upright position if
released and apply the brake.
7. Turning the accelerator control from one driving direction to the
other will cause the pallet jack to slow to a stop, then it will move in
the opposite direction.
8. The pallet jack has a slow function (R) to reduce speed in confined
spaces.
a. Raise the tiller to the vertical position and press and hold the
‘Turtle’ button (R) on the tiller’s back for two seconds to activate
the slow feature.
b. Steer the jack as normal.
c. Raise the tiller to the vertical position again and hold the same
