Figure 79: Rear ram bar
Due to the design with ram bars in the
front area of the product, there is an area
between the footrest and the ram bar where it
is possible for the foot to get trapped.
Therefore, always make sure, if necessary, by
special fixing, that your feet cannot slip off the
footrest when using the product. Also ensure
that, when getting off the product, your feet do
not end up trapped between the footrest and
the ram bar.
To protect the ram bar from defects and
deformation from hard impacts, it must always
be protected by the plastic protective hose.
The protective hose is a wearing part which
must be regularly checked and replaced if it is
damaged.
25 Storage
When being stored, the product should be kept
in a dry environment and covered up where
possible.
To avoid corrosion and therefore malfunctions
or breakages of components, the product may
not be exposed to any aggressive
environmental influences (salt in particular).
26 Transport
26.1 Securing handling of the product
When loading or transporting, the product can
be held on the frame and on the back cross
bar.
26.2 Transporting people in a car
Transporting people, be it
the wheelchair user or
other persons, in vehicles
has not been tested by
PRO ACTIV and is
therefore not approved. All
vehicle occupants must only sit on the seats
installed in the vehicle during the journey with
the associated restraint systems. Failing to
observe this leads to increased risk of injury for
the user as well as for third-parties.
The waist belt which may be fitted is not
designed as a safety belt in a motor vehicle
and may not be used for this purpose.
