A ring topology must be connected from CH1 to CH1 and CH2 to CH2. Only with an uneven number
of FO modules, the cables may be connected from CH1 to CH2 and CH2 to CH1 (only once per ring).

Delay time
Fiber optic applications require a delay time calculation to adjust the Slottime busparameter in the
configuration of the master(s). To calculate the total delay including the fiber optic modules and extra time for
ring events, use the following formula:
