USE ON CONSTRUCTION CRANES
CONNECTIONS
INSTALLATION
27
Translated by the original
The range of possible uses for the hydraulic demolition PDS Range attachments includes the option of
installing it on a construction crane. Below, we list the operating systems, rules and requirements to respect for
operating in this manner.
The first rule to follow with the
attachment
installed is to check that the capacity of the construction crane
must be at least 2.4 times the operating weight of the attachment
.
This coefficient of safety is double the
coefficient of attaching to a hydraulic excavator.
The use of the attachment mounted on a construction crane allows the use of an external hydraulic power
plant, which must conform to the pressure and flow parameters for the model of attachment mounted (see
Table 3.5.1).
The attachment must be used exclusively for demolition and not for transporting or moving objects.
The demolition attachment and the construction crane must be used separately. The operator must use
the two machines at different times.
The attachment
can work either vertically or horizontally depending on the type of structure to be
demolished, so long as it is always attached to the couplings provided.
Check the stability of the couplings and cables that support the attachment
before every work cycle.
Manufacturer’s technician:
a technician provided by the manufacturer to perform complex
operations in particular situations or, in any case, in agreement with the user. Depending on
the case, he may have mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or software skills.

HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
The connection to the hydraulic system is made by connecting the hydraulic
fittings on the attachment to the corresponding fittings on the operating
machine. This is done for both the fittings for the hydraulic rotation of the
attachment (if present), and those for the opening and closing of the attachment.
Connect the flexible hoses between the operating machine and the attachment
(following the SAE J517 or DIN 20066 standards) and tighten the screws or fittings.
ATTENTION!
Any dirt (sand, gravel and dust) on the fittings could damage the hydraulic system of the attachment.
The ROTATION system needs to be connected to an output and corresponding return.
The OPENING/CLOSING system needs to be connected to an output and corresponding return.
Keep the two hydraulic systems carefully separated.
