Looping the bus
The principle of bus looping is the same as in case of KD1905M keyboards. Lines should be laid as
far as possible from point to point, avoiding long branches (above 30m) and star layout. However,
it is necessary to minimize the cable length between devices in order to keep the cable resistance
as low as possible. The maximum safe distance between the remotest keyboards is about 150m
for CAT5 cabling.
If the satellite audio track energizes, the first step should be to improve the quality of ground cable
(e.g. by adding another cable).
The CAN data line must be terminate
d at its ends. Connection is carried out with 150Ω resistor
switched on between CAN+ and CAN-. This applies to both buses (SAT and REM). Unused CAN
outputs in the keyboards should also be connected.
