8. MAINTENANCE
8.1 Maintenance and Inspection
8.1.1 Information
During maintenance and inspection work the IM point “Safety“ is to be followed strictly. Breakdowns
and disturbances, which are due to improper and insufficient maintenance or inspection, can cause
cost for repairs and stand still periods of the machine. A constant maintenance is therefore essential.
The operational safety and the live expectancy of the machine depend on the proper maintenance as
well as on some other facts.
The following list includes time, control and maintenance information for the normal use of the ma-
chine. Due to the different operational conditions it cannot be determined in advance of how often
the maintenance and inspection will be necessary. Under consideration of your operating conditions a
practical and appropriate inspection route is to be defined
.

Attention!
Dust and dirt deposits on the cooling rips of the motor are to be removed with a wire brush
when dry. Before each use of the machine please check the cleanliness of the cooling rips. If there is too
much dirt on cooling rips the motor may overheat.
Attention!
The use of high-pressured air for cleaning the machine is not prohibited.
! ! ! By the use of high-pressured air the electric can have a short cut due to water running in the
motor! Danger to life!
8.2 Water cooling unit
Strongly soiled water can clog up the pump. This is to change before the pump sucks in any dirt or
stone particles.
At temperatures below freezing the water need to be removed if the machine is not used. Should the
machine be without water for a longer period of time then the pump needs to be cleaned before the
dirt dries in.
