- 3 - FUNCTIONS AND SETTINGS
3.1 Operation
Connect the supplied main cable to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz). Then the unit is ready for operation and can be
operated via a DMX controller or it independently performs its show program in succession. To switch off,
disconnect the mains plug from the socket. For a more convenient operation it is recommended to connect
the unit to a socket which can be switched on and off via a light switch.
3.2 Operation in automatic mode or controlled by the music
If no DMX control signal is present at the jack DMX INPUT (7), and the unit independently runs through its
show programme. For music control adjust the control SENSITIVITY (8) for the microphone sensitivity so
that the dynamic power of the music will be reproduced in an optimum way by the change of colors. The
increased sensitivity is the regulator has turned completely to the right.
Note: When changing the volume of the music system, the microphone sensitivity must be adapt ed ac-
cordingly via the rotary control.
Set DIP switch No. 10 (fig.3) to ON; set all other DIP switches to the position OFF.
3.3 Manual setting of color
Set DIP-switch n ° 8, 9 and 10 (fig.4) to ON position. With the other DIP-switches, select the LEDs for red
(switches 1 and 2), green (switches 3 and 4), and blue (switches 5 and 6) separately and adjust their bright-
ness.
3.4 Automatic fading color with the highest speed
Set DIP-switch n ° 9 and 10 (fig.5) to ON position. With the DIP switches 1-6, select the speed for color fading
(the lower the switch number, the faster the fading).
For rotating the light patterns at a constant speed, also set DIP switch No. 2 to ON. Now it will be possible
to adjust the speed with the DIP switches Nos. 4, 5, 6. The sense of rotation will change occasionally and
may additionally be changed with switch No. 3. The music control via the microphone will be deactivated.
DIP switch No. 10 (OPTION) will define the behaviour of the slave units: opposite to the master unit (switch
set to ON) or identical to it (switch set to the upper position).
Example for manual color adjustment:
Red LEDs with 100 % brightness;
Red LEDs with 25 % brightness;
