Operation
Before using for the first time
Dispose of any packaging material not required or keep it in a place not accessible
to children. Risk of suffocation!
The digital protractor is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children.
Please note that the angle sensor is a sensitive precision device that needs to be
handled with due care. Do not expose it to sudden shocks or strong mechanical
influences and do not let it fall.
The digital protractor is protected against water jets and dust (IP65), but do not
immerse it in liquids and make sure that no liquids of any type penetrate into the
device.
Switching the device on and off and zeroing
Switch the device on using the ON/OFF/LEVEL button (2). The digital protractor is
now in absolute measuring mode and works like a spirit level. The current
inclination is shown in the display.
To set the zero point to another inclination, place the device on a reference surface
with the desired inclination and press the ZERO button (4). The digital protractor is
now in relative measuring mode. Zero is now shown in the display and all
deviations relate to this reference. After switching the device on and off, the device
is once again in absolute measuring mode.
Use the Tilt% button to switch the display from angle degrees to angle percent.
Use the HOLD button (3) to lock the measured value on the display. Pressing the
HOLD button again releases the display.
To switch the device off, press the ON/OFF/LEVEL button (2) once again.
The device is fitted with magnets (6) on the underside to attach it to magnetic
reference surfaces.
Charging the rechargeable battery
When the symbol is shown in the display, the installed rechargeable battery
needs to be charged. Connect the micro USB socket on the rear of the device to a
suitable USB port using the enclosed USB charging cable. When is shown in
the display, the battery is fully charged. The charging process can take up to
40 minutes.
