AD Configuration for CIFS
This section describes how to configure Active Directory for use with the Common Internet File System (CIFS).
To configure AD settings for CIFS, follow these steps:
1. From the
Home
page, expand
Virtual Storages
list and select the
Pool
(
Default
used in this example)
to be configured, then click on the
Configuration
tab.
2. Click the
Join AD
button.
3.
Enter settings for AD configuration for CIFS:
•
Domain Name
(use the entire domain
name, for example
companyname.com
)
•
Domain Netbios Name
(this must
be specified if it is not the same as
the prefix of the Domain Name)
•
Virtual Host Name
•
Domain Account
name (this
must have
Join
privilege)
•
Password
(for Domain Account).
4.
Click the
Done
button when completed.
