Assign a RAID Console LUN
The Promise RAID Console is how VTrak’s RAID controller communicates with
the Host/RAID PC. Each SCSI channel has a Logical Unit Number (LUN) for the
RAID Console. The default RAID Console LUN for both SCSI channels is 7. To
change the LUN:
1.
Press 1 to select
Controller management
.
2.
Press 2 to select
Modify controller parameters
.
3.
Press 4 to select
Modify Promise RAID Console SCSI LUN
. The screen
appears as shown below:

Press R to return after finished>

Press the number of the SCSI channel whose LUN you want to modify.
Press R when you are done selecting SCSI channels.
Note that the LUN you type will overwrite the existing one. Type the LUN you
want for this TID, including numbers you previously assigned.
5.
Press the number of the Target ID whose LUN you want to modify and press
Enter. If there is only one TID on the SCSI channel, you are not asked to
input a TID.
6.
Type the numbers of the LUN you want to for this TID and press Enter to
continue.
The CLU responds: Current RAID Console LUN for SCSI channel 1 is X
Press any key to return
To verify the new LUNs, Press 4 to select
Modify SCSI Channel TID
again.
Exit the CLU
Close the terminal emulation window to exit the CLU.
