Incomplete Array
An incomplete array results from a physical drive that fails or becomes missing
during:
•
RAID level migration under NVRAM
•
Physical drive transport
See “Physical Drive Failed” on page 243 for more information.
When VTrak discovers an incomplete array, WebPAM PROe displays a dialog
box asking you to:
•
Click the
OK
button to accept the incomplete array
•
Click the
Cancel
button to reject the incomplete array
Before you accept the incomplete array, be sure all of the physical drives are
present and that their drive carriers are properly installed into the enclosure. See
“Installing Disk Drives” on page 11.
If you choose to accept the incomplete array:
1.
Click
OK
in the incomplete array dialog box.
2.
Check the operational status of the logical drives in the array.
•
If the logical drives are
critical
or
degraded
, proceed with a rebuild.
See “Rebuilding a Disk Array” on page 101 or page 140.
•
If the logical drives are
offline
, contact Technical Support.

3.
Restore your data from a backup source, if required.
The CLU displays the option
Accept Incomplete Array
on the Disk Array Info and
Settings screen. Highlight the option and press Enter to accept the incomplete
array.
If you choose NOT to accept the incomplete array:
1.
Click
Cancel
in the incomplete array dialog box.
2.
Do one of the following:
•
Delete the array. See “Deleting a Disk Array” on page 96 or page 137.
•
Replace the missing physical drive.
