CHANNEL/TRACKING Up or Down
Selects next higher or lower channel in the VCRÕs
channel memory.
Adjusts tracking when a tape is playing.
Allows you to change entries for selected menu features.
Used to set a timer recording with the TV off.
CLEAR
Resets time counter to 0:00:00.
Allows you to change entries for selected menu features.
DISPLAY
Displays VCR operating displays on the TV screen.
Displays the time counter.
Allows you to change entries for selected menu features.
EJECT
Press when the VCR is stopped to eject the cassette.
INPUT
Turns the line input on or off.

appears in
VCRÕs display panel and VIDEO1 or VIDEO2 appears
on the TV screen.
Line input refers to the signal coming from the
component connected to the AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks
on the back (
L1
) or front (

) of the VCR.
MENU
Displays the VCR MAIN MENU on the TV screen.
Used with arrow buttons to select features in the menu.
MONO L¥AUDIO IN¥R Jacks
Receives audio signals from another component, like a
VCR or camcorder when it is connected to these jacks.
Attach a component that is not stereo to the MONO L
jack to hear sound on both channels.

to record from these jacks.
PAUSE
Pauses action for viewing during playback.
Pauses recording to prevent recording of unwanted scenes.
PLAY
Plays a tape.
POWER
Turns the VCR on or off.
PROG. EXP
Used with CHANNEL up and down buttons to set a timer
recording with the TV off.
RECORD
Starts VCR recording.
Used for express recording (XPR).
Remote Sensor
Receives signals from the remote control. Aim the remote
at this sensor with no objects between them.
Shuttle Dial
Rewinds and fast forwards the tape when VCR is stopped.
Plays the picture in slow motion during play pause.
Searches the picture in forward and reverse during playback.
STOP
Stops the normal functions such as record, playback,
rewind, fast forward, or pause.
TV¥VCR
Switches the picture signal so that it either comes from the
VCR or the TV channel. (See page 17.)
VIDEO IN Jack
Receives video signals from another component, like a
VCR or camcorder, when it is connected to this jack.
