POWER MANAGEMENT:
This item allows the user to select the type or degree of power saving and is
directly related to the following modes:

HDD Power Down,
o
Doze Mode,
p
Suspend Mode, and
q
Standby Mode.
There are four available options: Disable, Min. Power Saving, Max. Power
Saving, and User Defined.
PM CONTROL BY APM:
When enabled, an Advanced Power Management device will be activated to
enhance the Max. Power Saving mode and stop the CPU internal clock.
If the Max. Power Saving is not enabled, this will be preset to
NO
.
VIDEO OFF METHOD:
This category determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked.
V/H SYNC+BLANK This selection will cause the system to turn off the
vertical & horizontal synchronization ports and
write blanks to video buffer.
BLANK SCREEN
This selection only writes blanks to video buffer.
DPMS
Initial display power management signaling.
VIDEO OFF AFTER:
When enabled, this feature allows the VGA adapter to operate in a power
saving mode. The available choices are N/A, Suspend, Standby, and Doze.
MODEM USE IRQ:
This item enable you to name the interrupt request (IRQ) line assigned to
the modem (if any) on your system. Activity of the selected IRQ always
awakens the system.
DOZE MODE:
When enabled and after the set time of system inactivity, the CPU clock will
run at slower speed while all other devices still operate at full speed.
STANDBY MODE:
When enabled and after the set time of system inactivity, the fixed disk drive
and the video would be shut off while all other devices still operate at full
speed.
