Warning
To avoid possible electric shock, injury, and
damage to the Meter please follow these rules:
Before using the Meter, inspect the exterior
casing. Do not use the Meter if it is visibly
damaged or if it appears to be tampered with.
Inspect the test leads for damaged insulation or
exposed metal. Check the test leads for
continuity.
Do not apply more than the rated voltage, in any
fashion to the Meter or terminals.
The rotary switch should be placed in the correct
position before measurement and should NOT be
moved during measurement to prevent damage.
When the Meter is working at an effective voltage
over 60V in DC or 30V rms in AC take additional
care due to increased danger of electric shock.
Use the proper terminals, function, and range for
your measurements.
Do not use or store the Meter in a high-
temperature environment, do not expose to high
levels of humidity, or near strong magnetic
fields. The performance of the Meter may
deteriorate in any of these harsh environments.
Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-
voltage capacitors before testing resistance,
continuity, diodes or hFE.
Replace the battery as soon as the battery
indicator
appears. A low battery will cause
the Meter to produce inaccurate readings and
could lead to damage and dangerous conditions.
The Meter is suitable for dry location use only.
Turn the Meter power off when it is not in use
and take out the battery when not using for a
long time to avoid battery leakage and damage
