Horizontal machine alignment - static feet
Static feet
The STATIC FEET option can be selected from either the MENU or
from the Results Setup Options (page 4-57). This option allows you to
define which pair(s) of feet on the two machines are deemed static,
i.e. cannot be moved for some reason (e.g. the rear of one machine
connected to other machinery). Note: if the left machine is set as
stationary or becomes bolt-bound, then the entire right machine must
be movable.
Below is an example for two 4-foot machines with the rear feet static:
The feet which are currently defined as static are indicated with
circles in the softkey bar. Select/deselect the required feet with the
indicated softkeys. The computer will make the necessary deselec-
tions.
With Static feet you can reverse the default machine configuration,
i.e. make the left machine moveable and the right machine
stationary.
If you try to make an invalid selection, the program issues a warning:
In such instances it is usually necessary to change the left machine
type from "Stationary" to one of the moveable options. Press "OK" and
enter the machine setup (pages 4-16 and 4-17). Make the necessary
changes and press E
NTER
to return to the Static feet option.
Press E
NTER
when finished to return to the previous screen, i.e. either
the Menu or the Results Setup Options (page 4-57).
