Configuration
The CONFIGURATION option is available from the introductory
screen, page 4-14, with the CONFIG softkey as well as from the
MENU for both horizontal and vertical machines:
Use the arrow key to highlight one of the top five options, then press
EDIT to change the setting:
UNIT
selects between inches and mm.
LANGUAGE
selects from English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch,
Swedish, Japanese and Finnish. Select from the list of languages with
the arrows and press OK.
RUNTIME
if no keys are pressed for the specified "Runtime," the
computer enters "sleep" mode (see page 2-12). A typical time is 5
minutes. Enter the new value and press E
NTER
SLEEPTIME
is the time the computer sleeps before switching off (see
page 2-12). A typical time is 30 minutes. Enter the new value and
press E
NTER
. Note, the sleep mode function is deactivated when
external power is connected to the computer.
SENSORPORT
selects the computer socket to which the sensor/
receiver is connected. The socket at the top of the computer is
"Default"; the serial port, upper right-hand side is "COM" (e.g. for the
IR link, page 6-23).
Softkeys:
CONTRAST
changes the screen contrast. Press the Contrast key
several times until the desired display is obtained.
DATE
Use the cursor keys to select Year, Month, Day, Hour or
Minute, and key in the new value with the numeric keys. Use the CLR
key to erase entries and the numeric keypad to enter digits. Press
ENTER to confirm each entry. Press DATE FORMAT to change
between US and European dates and their presentation. Select "OK"
when finished.
