ROTALIGN 01.2000
Connecting the receiver
Insert the straight-ended cable
plug into the eight-pin socket on
the top of the computer housing
as shown at right; note the key-
way indicating proper plug ori-
entation. A gentle push is re-
quired until the plug clicks into
place. To remove the plug,
squeeze its ribs closest to the
computer and gently pull.
The angled plug should be per-
manently left connected to the
receiver, also when storing RO-
TALIGN in its case, as this will
help avoid damage to cable pins,
plugs and sockets. If it is discon-
nected, screw it in to the receiver
socket, observing the proper key-
way orientation.
Attach the plastic cable clip to the lower portion of the support post
as shown. This helps avoid measurement disturbance and damage to
the cable or socket if the cable is pulled.
Important : "pull, don't twist" the
cable when disconnecting.
PRÜFTECHNIK advises leaving the
cable connected to the ROTALIGN at
all times, even when in its case.
