12. Connecting the Pi Power and Testing
At this point, the power converter module output in the Pi Box is not connected to
the Pi. You may, if you wish, re-do the 9V PP3 power converter test.
Incorrect connection of the power supply can cause damage to the printer
power supply, Einsy Board or Pi Converter. Refer the the manual for
guidance.
1. Identify the left-most
positive
power terminal (
a
) on the Einsy board. This is the
positive input power from the mains power supply unit.
2. Undo the screw until the spade connector comes out.
3. Place the
positive
spade connector from the Pi Box
behind / underneath
the
main power supply spade connector, noting the orientation of the original connector
– refer to the installation manual!
4. Re-insert both connectors and tighten the screw.
5. Repeat with the left-most
negative
power terminal (
b
) on the Einsy board, and
the
negative
wire from the Pi Box.
Double Check that everything has been installed correctly.
