Q: USB is not recognized or ‘File is corrupted’ error
A: Try to export / copy the SL1S file again. In case the error is still there, try a different USB drive.
Q: Wifi browser does not list my network
A: Please, make sure that your wireless network name does not contain non-standard characters.
Try renaming your Wi-Fi network and see if the problem is solved.
Q: I can’t connect to unprotected (public) wireless networks
A: Due to security reasons, the printer can be connected only to WPA2-protected networks.
Q: Wifi / LAN does not connect
A: There can be various reasons why the printer won’t connect to your network, but since every
network is different, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact cause.
Can you see the list of other wifi networks in the browser?
Are you sure you are entering the password correctly?
Can other devices connect to your network?
Do you have a DHCP service running on your network, so IP addresses are assigned
automatically?
Q: Printer doesn’t turn on
A: Is the power cord attached firmly? Is the switch on the back side of the printer switched to the
“On” position? Try disconnecting the power cord and then reconnecting it after a few seconds.
Q: LCD touch screen does not respond to touch
A: The display uses a capacitive touch screen layer and it might not recognize a touch with wet
fingers. Make sure your hands are dry and the display is clean.
Q: Resin vapours are very noticeable
A: Some resins have a more prominent smell than others. Always run the printer in a well-
ventilated room. Consider switching to a different brand of resins that promises less noticeable
odors when printing. However, it’s almost impossible to eliminate resin vapours completely. The
SL1S features a rear fan with activated carbon filter with the option to attach a hose adapter (not a
part of the package).
Q: The lid of the printer has been left open and the resin started to solidify in the tank
A: In most cases, it’s possible to “save” the tank, sometimes even the FEP foil depending on how
much has the resin solidified. Remove the tank from the printer, find a large volume container (e.g.
a bucket and start removing the resin with a metal spatula carefully. If you damage the FEP film,
you can replace it according to the instructions in this handbook.
