Intended Use
The NOMEX multimeter is a diagnostic dosime-
try system according to IEC 61674 for absolute
dosimetry and quality control measurements in
diagnostic radiology. It can be used for accep-
tance testing and constancy checks in radiogra-
phy, fluoroscopy, dental X-ray, mammography,
and computed tomography (CT) applications.
The NOMEX multimeter set includes the NOMEX
multimeter, a miniaturized dosemeter consisting
of the electronic system and the semiconductor
detectors and the NOMEX software.
The NOMEX multimeter measures the dose, dose
rate, dose per pulse, pulses, pulse frequency,
exposure time, tube voltage, total filtration, and
half value layer as well as kV and dose rate wave-
forms.

Accessories
The following accessories are available for the
NOMEX multimeter:

Mechanical holder allowing the NOMEX multi-
meter to be attached to a dental X-ray unit or
to a tripod
– NOMEX multimeter cassette adapter T20017
Mechanical holder allowing the NOMEX multi-
meter to be mounted in the cassette compart-
ment of an X-ray unit.
