8.5 Identifying Dryer Alarms
8.5.1 High Outlet Pressure Alarm -
Occurs when the Outlet Pressure
(
OUTP
) rises above the alarm set point
for more than one (1) minute.
(Default setting is 12.0 PSI)
See section 13.5 for troubleshooting information.
8.5.2 Low Outlet Pressure Alarm –
Occurs when the Outlet Pressure
(
OUTP
) drops below the alarm set
point for more than one (1) minute.
(Default setting is 6.5 PSI)
See section 13.7 for troubleshooting information.
8.5.3 High Flow Alarm –
Occurs when the Flow Rate (
FLOW
)
rises above the alarm set point for more
than one (1) minute.
(Default setting is 4500 SCFD)
See section 13.9 for troubleshooting information.
8.5.4 High Compressor Temperature Alarm –
Occurs when the temperature in the
lower compressor compartment rises
above 140°F for more than one (1)
minute.
If this alarm is present for one (1) minute or more, the air dryer will go into
SHUTDOWN
mode to protect against damage due to overheating.
