TROUBLESHOOTING

The following is a troubling shooting guide to help you solve any issues that may have with the operation of the Ultrasonic
Humidifier PM 718.

Trouble

Possible reasons

Solution

The operation indicator

doesn’t light

up, does not work, no mist release

No voltage, no power supply

Connect power supply, switch on

Plug another, certainly operating appliance to the
socket to make sure that the socket works properly.

The operation indicator
flashes  red, no mist release

Water tank is empty

Fill the water tank with water

Mist smells unpleasantly

First use of the unit

Remove the water tank lid, pour out water and leave
the tank open for 12 hours in a cool darkened place

Dirty or stagnant
water

Unplug the unit, remove the water tank, pour out the
water, wash the tank and fill it with clean boiled or
distilled water

Low mist release intensity

Sprayer is dirty

Unplug the unit and clean the sprayer.

Abnormal noise is heard
during the operation of the humidifier

The unit is placed on an uneven or
unstable surface.

Unplug the unit and level the unit body or set in
another place.

Mist coming out from around nozzle

There are apertures between the
nozzle and water tank

Dip the nozzle in water for a while and then fix it to
the socket on water tank

TROUBLESHOOTING

The following is not considered faulty operation:

o

If  your  water  is  very  hard  (containing  abnormally  high  levels  of  minerals)  the  humidifier  may  produce  white  dust.  This  is  not  a
malfunction. The solution would be to clean the filter more often or use softer water.

o

If you stand very close to the humidifier, you will hear the gurgling sound of water. This is normal.

o

The machine operates very quietly but it is not completely silent. Noise levels less than 35 db is considered normal.

Warning!

If the above recommended solutions do not work, please contact PureMate technical support at the telephone number for your region.
Do not attempt to disassemble, repair and reassemble the machine as it may void the warranty.
