TROUBLESHOOTING
The following is a troubling shooting guide to help you solve any issues that may have with the operation of the Ultrasonic
Humidifier PM 718.
Trouble
Possible reasons
Solution
The operation indicator
doesn’t light
up, does not work, no mist release
No voltage, no power supply
Connect power supply, switch on
Plug another, certainly operating appliance to the
socket to make sure that the socket works properly.
The operation indicator
flashes red, no mist release
Water tank is empty
Fill the water tank with water
Mist smells unpleasantly
First use of the unit
Remove the water tank lid, pour out water and leave
the tank open for 12 hours in a cool darkened place
Dirty or stagnant
water
Unplug the unit, remove the water tank, pour out the
water, wash the tank and fill it with clean boiled or
distilled water
Low mist release intensity
Sprayer is dirty
Unplug the unit and clean the sprayer.
Abnormal noise is heard
during the operation of the humidifier
The unit is placed on an uneven or
unstable surface.
Unplug the unit and level the unit body or set in
another place.
Mist coming out from around nozzle
There are apertures between the
nozzle and water tank
Dip the nozzle in water for a while and then fix it to
the socket on water tank
TROUBLESHOOTING
The following is not considered faulty operation:
o
If your water is very hard (containing abnormally high levels of minerals) the humidifier may produce white dust. This is not a
malfunction. The solution would be to clean the filter more often or use softer water.
o
If you stand very close to the humidifier, you will hear the gurgling sound of water. This is normal.
o
The machine operates very quietly but it is not completely silent. Noise levels less than 35 db is considered normal.
