4. Once you can hold the stack firmly
against the cowl and it is aligned the
way you want it, drill two 9/64” holes as
shown.
5. Support the cowl on the edge of the
table or place a foam block underneath
it to help support it. Carefully position
the stack onto the cowl. With the stack
in its final position, place the drill bit
through the stack holes and drill though
the cowl.
6. Laminate two 1/8” ply pieces to make
the mounting plates (2” x 3/4”). Trace
the hole locations, and then drill two
9/64” holes in the ply. Sand one surface
of the ply as shown so it can mate flush
with the inside of the cowl.
7. Push two 6-32 bolts, 1 ½” long,
through the holes and secure with nuts.
Evaluate your results and make
adjustments as needed. If you find that
there are gaps between the ribs and the
cowl after tightening the bolts, you can
insert wax paper between the rib and
cowl, and then fill the gaps with thick
CA.

occasionally until completion so you can
