Installation Instructions
1.
Raise the vehicle and support with jack stands on a stable surface.
2.
Remove end-links while noting the direction the bolts were installed. Unbolt and remove the stock bar.
Caution: Sway bars are heavy steel parts that can cause injury if unsupported during removal or installation.
3.
Use the supplied grease to lube the inside of the bushings. Install the bushings on the QA1 swaybar, followed by the
sway bar brackets. Note that the bushings have a split to ease installation.
4.
Place the supplied U-bolts over the rear axle. Install the QA1 swaybar on the rear axle using the axle housing brackets
and related hardware. Leave the nuts loose to allow adjustment of the bar on the rear axle. (See
figure 1
)
5.
Install the supplied end-link rod over the end of the swaybar using the supplied grease and torque to 35 lb. ft.
6.
Square up the sway bar on the rear axle if it has not already been done, and torque the U-bolts and nuts to 35 lb. ft.
7.
Use caution on the first test drive until you are accustomed to the vehicles new response to steering inputs. Re-torque
the mounting bolts after the first test drive.
